The Faculty of Sports Science Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta celebrated its 70th birthday on October 1, 2021. It is no longer a young age; it is mature. As a higher education institution, FIK UNY strives to develop science and institution through the existing study programs, and open new study programs based on the advancement of science and technology.
Three FIK UNY students won gold at International Virtual Pencak Silat Championship held virtually by Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). The event, held from August 21 to 22, 2021, was themed "Rise The Spirit To Be Champion" and broadcasted live on Youtube.
The Sport Tourism Tech team was selected as UNY's Best Sport Coaching Startup 2021 in the event held by the Faculty of Sports Sciences Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta on November 4, 2021. The Sport Coaching Start Up Summit 2021 was the launch of 15 startups mentored by the Sports Coaching Education department of the Faculty of Sports Sciences (FIK) Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held in the ballroom of Hotel UNY.
